Meet The Editor/ Owner

BARBARA BROWN STASIK

Most of the stories you love reading each week come from our Editor herself, Barb. She and her brother, Jim, are third generation owners of The Yale Expositor. She works on the stories, oversight of the paper, public relations, and even does the printing work for those who need menus, tickets, etc.

She likes to say that she writes a 'personal letter to her friends' each week with her popular "from the Editor's Desk" column.

Barb is proud to call Yale her hometown and is very active in giving back to her community. She has served as the President of the Yale Area Chamber of Commerce and the Yale Lions Club and has also served as an EDC member, LDFA member, on Yale's DDA and the Cemetery Board. She was a founder of the Yale Bologna Festival, the 2004 Queen of Bologna, a title she is most proud of. She is also a loyal Bulldog fan.

She and her husband, Tim Stasik, live in Yale.

Meet The Ad Coordinator

MELISSA HUGHES

After graduating Yale High School, Melissa attended Adrian College where she majored in Mass Media Communication. During her tenure at Adrian, she fed her love of music by working at the college radio station and became heavily involved in the theatre program.

In 2010, Melissa joined the The Yale Expositor. Bringing her unique experience, she works to build advertising campaigns for local, regional and national businesses as well as expand community support for the shop local initiative.
